  1. INTERCEPT P-51S AT HAMBURG

  3. A comparison of the relative size, weight, 
  4. and form of the P-51D Mustang and the 
  5. Do 335 Pfeil underscores the difference 
  6. in combat aircraft design philosophies 
  7. between the likes of Edgar Schmued 
  8. (P-51 designer) and Claudius Dornier 
  9. (Do 335 designer).  A confrontation 
  10. between these two multi-role fighters 
  11. would have shown the Mustang to be 
  12. superior in almost every category, with 
  13. the exception of speed and ruggedness.  
  14. The Dornier, able to fly on just one of its 
  15. engines, would have probably taken quite 
  16. a beating while remaining flyable ... an 
  17. attribute the P-51 could not boast about.

  19.                     YOUR MISSION

  21. As your schwarm of Do 335s approaches 
  22. the Hamburg area, you receive an urgent 
  23. radio message from the Luftwaffe airfield 
  24. there.  They are under attack by 
  25. numerous P-51 Mustangs and are 
  26. requesting your immediate assistance.

  28. Follow your flight leader to intercept the 
  29. American intruders.  Try to stop the P-51s 
  30. before they destroy the aircraft on the 
  31. ground at the airfield.  Some of the enemy 
  32. fighters may attack nearby industrial sites.
